Hans for WindStream Cover Dog!!

Published by Michael Smith under Uncategorized

Hey All! Noah’s needs your help. One of the guide dogs NOAH’s placed has been nominated to be on the new Windstream phone book cover. Hans was placed as a guide dog with Kay Konz in Lincoln Nebraska, who is visually impaired. Please take a second to vote!

So far there are almost 500 dogs entered. The winner of the cash prize will be chosen based on number of votes, but the phone company still gets to decide which dog to place on the cover of the phone book.

Since Hans needs allergy and other medications, it would be so helpful for Hans’ to win the cash prize for veterinary bills and to buy him a lifetime supply of Frisbees and tennis balls, which last about ten minutes each with him.

The link below should get you to his page, or he was entered by the name Hans, on July 8, if you have to hunt for him. you can even bookmark the page and go back every day until about Aug. 6 to vote for him. You can vote once per day for five different dogs.

Hans for Windstream Cover Dog

And for those who REALLY want Hans to win, forward this on to your friends!!

Thanks!!

UPDATE!
Hans finished as a runner up in the competition with over 600 dogs!  Thanks for your help and your votes!!

NOAH’s Crisis Team to Parkersburg Iowa

Published by admin under NOAH's Crisis Team

The NOAH’S Canine Crisis Response Team was sent to Petersburg, IA where an F5 tornado destroyed much of the community and killed seven in early June. On the Thursday following the tornado four dog handler teams and a team leader with NOAH’s Canine Crisis Response team began working with first responders, aid worksers and victims. ON Sunday, an additional NOAH’s member team working with the group Animal Assisted Crisis Response (AACR) joined the effort.

More information on this trip can be seen in the June 2008 Newsletter.

On the way back to their homes in Nebraska, they were requested to stop at Schuyler Nebraska to work with responders to the floods there.
